Spend another day with Lara. We managed to do some powerpoints... Of course I'll have to show her more later... So wooohooo! Yesterday Shecky slept over at Lara's! That was the first time he did not stay with me! Anyway Lara got him a bandage, cause his arm was hurt and she wrote her name on it as well. She had glasses too, but I lost them... Lol!

February 28 - Dorky

Today was a very very painful day. But I drove to Canberra to visit Wimmy so that's all good. On the way I stopped off to buy some hot chips and I took this photo while I was driving. Naughty I know, but it came out kinda awesome don't you think?

The chips were sooo yummy but I couldn't finish them. I know that I shouldn't really eat them if I'm on a diet, but :$ I just had a craving.

We'll stop at this take away when you're here, because it's halfway between Canberra and Temora and has yummy food.

Soooo I was suppose to show Lara how to use Powerpoint, the problem was that the powerpoint was not on the laptop they had. And I hadn't brought mine over.... Cause it was heavy. Also the tram was being a bitch... It was raining all day and we got out at the wrong stop. A few times! Grrr! Anyway it was Lara's birthday on the 7th and we (I was with Feyza) decided to get her some presents. We got her this, and owl so she could make it. (Also another one with flowers to hang around...) And I am going to get one for you too of course :P It was fun to make, but mostly it was done by me and Feyza... Lara wanted to reeaaallly finish it, but yeah her motor skills are of an eight year old :P
And it was a good day!

February 27 - Dorky

We have a long rose garden, with bush roses, and standard roses, and climbing roses, and carpet roses and yeah, Lots of lovely lovely roses.

Today Mum picked a bunch of them and arranged them. Usually I'm the one that does the flower arranging but mum did it this time and I just thought it was so beautiful that it deserved to be the photo of the day. Didn't she make it look so lovely/ It's just so pretty.

The pink ones at the back have a lovely perfume, but the others don't really have a perfume, which is always sad I think. A rose without a perfume. :( Oh well

Sooo I had a long day. I spend a few hours working on Elif's essay, which was funny cause it was kind of easy to make it for her. Which reminds me I need to work on my own stuff too. I also finished a chapter and started a new chapter for Pedagogy of last year.
Then I was not going to go to the po box, but decided to go anyway! And I am glad I decided to do that, cause I got cards and a letter from you :D Thank you! And yes I need to give you my homeadress, which I will do soon! <3

It has been raining on and off today, and I wanted to get a photo of the raindrops hitting the table in the courtyard, but I'm not sure it really worked. This is a glass table in the courtyard just outside my bedroom, and you can *kind of* see the drops. But you get the idea right?

I told you I got a letterbox... Well this is it. I kept seeing it, but it was kind of expensive... And it was also one Euro more than I thought :P I have it and I like it. It means I can keep the letters and cards I get in it. The first cards you can see are from Postcrossing (Germany and Belarus!) Than your letters, I have some other things in it too :) Oh and I put the stamps in the drawer under it! :D I have a box filled with them... I need new stamp collecting books :S Eep... But yeah, worst stamp collecter over here! Anyway I loooooooove it!

February 25 - Dorky

Today Mum, Dad and I went on a road trip. We just went for a drive, to check out the area. There are so many back roads and stuff. We were originally going to find a park to stop to have our sandwiches, but we couldn't find one, so we ended up pulling over by the side of the road, under the shade of some trees, and had our picnic there. It was lovely.

Occasionally cars drove past and they may have wondered what we were doing, but so what? It was nice. We're going to try and do it again.

Next time we just need to remember to bring aerogard, to stop the flies bugging us!

I was hungry so I decided to make myself a sandwich.

A beetroot sandwich.

Am I the only person on the planet that thinks these are yummy? But they have to be made with really soft, really fresh white bread or they're no good.

Soooo.... We were talking today, I went to get breakfast and my brother told me we were going to the movies... He got free tickets for Non-Stop, which was a meh film. It was in Amsterdam, we had to go there :) And we parked on the roof of a building... That was the parking place! Seriously!
Anyway when I looked down this was my view. Amazing hey! :)

My mum has been making me new clothes. She picked out some fabric the other day and she made me a jacket with a bird cage print on it, and a top to wear under it, and I am going to wear it to school tomorrow. She was somewhere with Da today and there was a stall selling jewellery. She found this set, and it's just the right colour to match the birds and cages on the jacket. So she bought it for me. It's sooooooooo pretty!

We went to friends, Lara's parents and I spend most of the time playing and talking to her. She is such a hyper little girl! Anyway her mother had this on the table and I was reaaaally looking forward to have cupcakes or something that looked awesomely sweet...
Instead they were felt stuff! :D Somebody she knew was making them, so she got a bunch! They were made really proffesionally! Lovely! <3

Ages ago, when I was in Canberra visiting, I found these lollies. Of course I had to buy them for you. But then I lost the bag that had them in it. Did I end up sending you some other ones? I can't remember.

Anyway, Mum was cleaning up the craft room yesterday and wanted me to help, and I was going through a bag and I found them. I was going to post them to you, as originally planned, but they are due to expire in a couple of days. So I ate them. :) They were yummy. I should send you some.

I bet there are no lollies called Dorkies though. You're spoiled! :P

Aaaah Friday was suppose to be my study day and guess what!? That did not work out! Here I am in the waiting room with my uncle and grandma, she had an appointment. It was suppose to be at 3pm, but the doctor was busy so we finally got to talk to him 40 minutes later... Yes... Anyway grandma got 2 new meds for her bones and something else... And I was needing food and sleep, being awake since 8 am and only breakfast!
Oh and look at the painting on the wall! I love it! Poppies! <3

I'm getting quite a collection of turtles in the courtyard. This is one that Kim, a friend, bought me. Isn't he just the cutest little thing? Now I have have five turtles out there and Bernie has an echidna (It was his birthday present from my mum last year).

They're breeding! The turtles, not the turtles and the Echidna. That would be painful!

I have art class again. The teacher is the same one as last year... And the assignments are different. Which is okay I guess. The first assignment we had was to write about a quality and explain your pitfall and other stuff.... Anyway you had to make something out of your weakness, which I pointed out as being annoyed and bored easily. During her talk I was reaaaally annoyed and she said something like "what bothers you about other people can be your weakness" and she was boring me and I was loosing interest and attention.
Now to the meaning of this piece of art. Attention. Basically the black spot is where the attention I should have is, and the colours are what are happening around me! Bright colours needing to calm down.

February 20 - Dorky

Today Mum and I went to Wagga to listen to a talk about weight loss surgery. Basically they remove a whole chunk of your stomach and you're left with a stomach the size and shape of a banana. It makes you fill up a lot faster, it's safe, you don't get hungry, and if you eat chocolate cake you end up shaking and sweating and wanting to vomit.

All in all it sounds horrific.

I enjoy food, but it's not a comfort thing. I mean, ok, sure there are times when I will eat to make myself feel better, but I'm just as likely to play a computer game or buy a magazine. What I do with food is, it's my hobby. I enjoy the making of things, usually. Pouring over the cookbooks, imagining what to make, preparing the ingredients, trying to get it to look good on the plate (I always fail at that bit!). But while I admit that I really need to lose weight, I don't want to do it this way.

So after we went to the info session and I was panicking and feeling like I had to get out of there, we went and got Italian and I ate pizza. As you do!

I got this for you and then decided I wanted to keep it... Now SHE, yes she is a girl, will be with me till you can pick her up! I got it for you so I should give it to you! <3 Atm she's on my bookcase sitting and looking around with big eyes!

February 19 - Dorky

Today has been a painful day, my feet have been really aching. But I've been looking up accommodation for my visit and that has been LOTS of fun. :)

It's a long time till I get there (sorry) but I can't wait. It's been too long since I've been to visit.

Now if I could only find a place to stay where I had space to myself, it was cheap, and it had free wifi and was comfortable, I'd be in heaven!

Sooo I thought I had a photo of Psychology... I couldn't find it on my phone... I am sure it is somewhere! I laughed my head of cause it was about Psychoanalysing and Freud! (Basically your childhood and sex!) Hahah! So here is a photo of developmental pathology. The guy was kind of funny to listen too and I was on the first row! For the first time! I got kind of bored, cause he first had to talk about what we were going to do... Anyway! :D Fun class! Loads to Read!
